UNSTOPABLE

Nutri-Grain – Unstoppable was one of the wildest shoots I’ve ever been on.

I found myself crammed into a helicopter over New Zealand’s South Island alongside a pro mountain biker, my cinematographer, and a pilot, flying peak to peak in search of the perfect line. We’d land on remote summits, scout the terrain, and drop in again, all chasing the shot that would capture the raw adrenaline of a single epic run.

The film tells the story of a local mountain biking legend, not quite pro, but a guy revered in the scene, poised atop a massive downhill track he’s dreamed of conquering. We wanted it to feel as real as possible: his battered bike, dust on his helmet, the mix of fear and focus in his eyes.

Visually, it was all about contrast. We combined tight, handheld close-ups brimming with tension and intimacy with sweeping aerial shots that revealed just how big and brutal this mountain was. The result feels both relatable and epic, a glimpse into the obsessive world of riders who live for these moments.

And seamlessly woven into it all was Nutri-Grain Squeezers: the quick hit of energy our rider grabs before dropping in. Not hero shots, just part of his routine, like a secret weapon he can’t live without.

It was an adventure as intense as the story we were telling, and one that left me desperate to get back on the mountain myself.
